A native of Athens, Dimitra has completed studies in Piano Performance and Ethnomusicology at the Royal Conservatory of Music, the University of Toronto and York University.
Dimitra has been active as a teacher, examiner, performer and clinician, since she was nineteen years old. A past Chair for the Children's programs and the Piano Faculty of the Royal Conservatory of Music, in Toronto, she has served on numerous advisory committees for the Royal Conservatory School and RCM Examinations. In addition, she has been collaborating with Toronto Arts and other schools providing repertoire and interpretation seminars.

A plethora of her students have been accepted to top American universities and have enjoyed fulfilling careers as music performers, composers and educators.
An enthusiastic participant in chamber music concerts at the Greek isles her artistic collaborations have included performances at the Paros Jazz Academy, the Paros Municipality Music festivals, as well as the ALEA III Summer Music Meetings in Naxos.
Dimitra is married and has raised two young men with whom she has enjoyed performing at various events.
